POP (goes my he)ART

Inspired by the beautiful bag I'd just received from JumpFromPaper, which coincided with a much needed new hair-do...I felt like I belonged in the Lichtenstein that I've always admired on the wall of my parents house! This shoot starring my lovely friends Warsan,  Lilly, Lydia, Kerry and myself was simple but ultimately one of my favorites I've done thus far. 



Warsan wears an H&M skirt, her own shirt 
We used Sephora brand liquid liner (in blue and black) and OCC lip tar
Lydia wears a thrifted jacket and Monki tank
Kerry wears a borrowed dress with an H&M skirt 
Lilly wears a thrifted dress 
I'm wearing an H&M top

    beautiful babies! i tried to make myself a lichtenstein girl for halloween a few years back, with rima's help. that bag is soo perf for this shoot though

    Oh my gosh this shoot makes me so happy, I mean looking like a 2-d cartoon creature in real human life is such a cool idea :)

    p.s this is my first time on your blog and I really love it! Your androgyny piece especially which is weird cos as a trans* bb I normally find that topic super alienating!

half a year later

Oops, I didn't post for half a year. Turns out doing a PhD is a lot of work! It's summer now, though, so that excuse doesn't work. I've fallen behind on almost all of my internet responsibilities - except for instagram, which I use more than anything else at the moment. Only a month and a half left of summer then I dive back into school. Trying to enjoy the time I have right now, just existing in montreal, learning french and seeing friends and spending all my money on food. Here's what you may have missed from the past 6 months:  Butterball had surgery on his entropion! Thank you to everyone who donated to help us afford this surgery for him. He is so so much happier now. All healed up!  My brother and my niece (not his daughter, my other brother's daughter lol) xoxo
